Spelling Bee Gets 4 Stars

The Grand Rapids Press review of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee gave the show 4 stars out of 4! So far, audience response to Civic Theater’s season opener has been overwhelmingly positive with everyone walking out with huge smiles on their faces. Tickets are selling very well; if you would like to see it and haven’t bought your ticket yet, you should definitely buy them now!

The show runs Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm through October 4, with the possibility of an extension through October 10 if needed. Tickets are between $16-$30 and can be purchased at the box office at 30 N. Division Ave. Monday-Friday from 10:00 am to 5:oo pm.

C-I-V-I-C Spells Out Season Opener

Civic Theater is going to let the audience in on the fun with it’s season opener of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. The premise, as you might suspect, revolves around 6 adolescents vying to be the winner of their county spelling bee. The twist, though, is that every night 4 audience members will be invited out of the audience to spell right along with the actors.
